Some work & personal features.

Meet Matthew, a South African-born Global Creative Director living in LA for 11 years. With over 18 years of global advertising and marketing experience, he's been lucky enough to learn from and work with some of the industry's finest at places like Ogilvy, TBWA/Chiat/Day, Expedia Group, Meta, and RPA. These days, he runs creative for part of Meta's global business, leading Facebook creators, Meta Connect, and various Family of Apps work streams — helping shape the way half the world's population connects and creates (and doom-scrolls).
Before that, he led creative for Expedia through their cross-brand function, partnering with destination marketing organizations to make people desperately wish they were somewhere else — in the best possible way. Then came running creative for Airbnb's largest competitor, VRBO.
A proud member of Adweek's "Creative 100" and an awards judge, he's picked up shiny trophies from the major international advertising awards along the way. When he's not making ads, he's making music with his friends. In a previous life, the stars aligned and launched him and his band across the globe to the legendary Rancho De La Luna recording studio in Joshua Tree — after becoming the first Africans to fund a Kickstarter. The band didn't make it. Thankfully, advertising is alive and well.
